EAGLE CREEK TRAIL

The Eagle Creek Trail is a massive 21.2 mile long trail that will run along Eagle Creek from the White River up into Zionsville.  Currently, there are three portions of the trail that have been completed; White River to McCarty Street, 10th Street to 21st Street, and Windham Lake to Lafayette Road through Eagle Creek Park.  When completed, the trail will connect Clermont, Indianapolis, Speedway, and Zionsville, as well as many parks, golf courses, and other points of interest and outdoor activities.  The trail will connect to the White River Trail and Northtown Trail in Indianapolis, the B&O Trail and P&E Trail in Speedway, and it is hoped that connections can be made with the Vandalia Trail once it is extended into Indianapolis, as well as the Farm Heritage Trail once it has been extended into Zionsville.

More Information

At 56th Street, a portion of the trail heads west across the reservoir connecting with Eagle Creek Golf Course.  The trail ends at 56th Street and Raceway Road, presumably to tie into the side paths along the roads in Brownsburg.  This could be a way for Brownsburg residents to make their way to downtown Indianapolis following Eagle Creek Trail for a good portion of the way.
